Stafford re-injured the same shoulder that caused him to miss five games already this year.  Drew Stanton came on for him but did not throw a pass. Stafford got his shoulder looked at on the sideline and then iced it. He could not return to the game and was visibly in a lot of pain. The injury occurred with just over five minutes to play in the game.

“He’s sore. It’s his right shoulder,” coach Jim Schwartz explained. “I don’t know if it’s related (to Stafford’s previous injury). He’s tough. If he could (have finished the game), he would have. We’re going to take a serious look at it.”

This is not good news for anyone who was relying on Stafford down the stretch for their fantasy team.  Even though it might not be serious it’s still a major concern that he already re injured his throwing shoulder.  We expect the Lions to take a cautious approach with the former number one pick.  When healthy this year Stafford has looked impressive.  He needs to find a way to stay on the field now.  Don’t look for Stanton to be a big fantasy impact for your team.
